Triathlon Training
Triathlon training consists of
sport specific training for three distinct sports disciplines - swimming,
cycling and running. Triathlon training must also take into account proper
nutrition to be prepared for not only the triathlon race, but also the rigors
of training, as well as proper fueling during the event and hydration during
the event. To properly train for the triathlon, you need specific triathlon
gear, a triathlon training program and a triathlon training schedule. The
triathlon training program consists of having adequate workouts in each of the
specific disciplines of the sport and must take into account proper nutrition,
hydration and sleep to be effective. The triathlon schedule will combine those
workouts in such a way that they will complement each other as well as not
overwhelm you physically and leave you too drained to train.
